Saturday's match between the New England Revolution has the makings for a classic trap game. With Revs sitting top in the East and Sporting KC bottom of the West. Sporting KC has been held scoreless 6 times already in the early days of the MLS season. They do have some quality attacking talent with Salloi, Pulido, and Russell. If Revs sleep they will get caught. New England coming off of a disappointing draw at Columbus is looking to stay #1 in the East. I say disappointing because Revs were the better team on the night and if it wasn't for a senseless 2nd yellow on Dylan Borrero I see Revs taking all 3 points. New England will be playing again without Henry Kessler who will be out for several months if not the season due to his hamstring injury which requires surgery. Andrew Farrell will likely be the starter again for Kessler is looking to build chemistry with Dave Romney who has been Revs best defender this year. With Gustavo Bou and Bobby Wood being game time decisions coach Bruce Arena again has some interesting decisions to make. Vrioni was solid up top last game, and the midfield was solid. I expect Sporting KC to sit in a low block and defend and look to counter on Revs. Again the match is free on Apple TV, or if you prefer to attend a Gillette Stadium which is under heavy construction their are plenty of good seats available. Kickoff is at 7:30......
Trap game or clap game?
