Josh Sargent made himself unavailable for Norwich City's FA Cup match said Norwich manager Philippe Clement. With recent talks of a potential move to MLS for Sargent the US striker told Clement he was not in the right mind frame to play in Norwich's match vs Walsall.

The Canaries won the match 5-1 and advanced to the 4th round of the FA Cup. To make matters more interesting Norwich striker Jovon Makama bagged a hat trick. Makama has been 1st choice striker for Norwich recently and the 21 year old Englishman has taken full advantage. Makama has 9 goals in EFL Championship play leading the Canaries.
For Sargent, he can see the writing on the wall, Makama is red hot and Sargent wants to get game minutes to make a push for a spot with the USMNT. Sargent who has 7 goals this year is 5th all time in goals scored for Norwich.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Toronto FC of MLS have put a bid on the table for $18 million dollars. That is a huge fee for an EFL Championship player. However Norwich does not currently have a replacement lined up for Sargent and they are near bottom of the Championship.
I believe that if Norwich can line up a replacement Sargent will be an MLS player before the transfer window closes in 3 weeks.
