Scorcha came out flying scoring the first 2 goals, stunning Stable United. Scorcha do it all Forward/Middie Ramsey set up the first goal with a darting run down the right flank and delivering a peach of a ball to the head of Scorcha's #10 man giving the black and orange a 1-0 lead. Scorcha's 2nd goal came from a moment of pure bliss and brilliance from Ramsey. He split 2 Stable players on the sideline oooooing the crowd, then hit a scorching curler from the corner of the 18 yard box around the Stable keeper sending the crowd into hysterics.

Stable was able to bring a goal back before the half setting the stage for an epic finish to the season. Stable United's youthful exuberance was too much all 2nd half as they equalized early and kept the pressure on Scorcha forcing several mistakes which led to Stable's victory.
This game was the culmination of a fantastic Cape Cod Adult Soccer League Season which saw many games well attended and supported. I had a moment to speak with Commissioner Keith Clark and he mentioned the overall quality of the league is improving and that there are several players on the Cape with impressive playing resumes.
It was a great summer of soccer on the Cape. Next year will be even bigger and better with a possible new team joining the league from Falmouth. Keep your eyes and ears open for that........
