Rhode Island FC achieved their first win last night as an organization defeating the Las Vegas Lights 2-1, in Las Vegas. Two goals in the first half were the difference. Turnbull in the 25th minute and Fuson in the 45th minute were enough to get the Anchors over the line. Khano Smith set up the team well defensively as Rhode Island conceded the possession battle, but stood strong only giving up a 54th minute goal.

RIFC now have 7 points on the season and if playoffs started today they would be in. Not bad for an expansion franchise trying to find their footing in a highly competitive USL Championship Eastern Conference.

Hartford and the Revs took home defeats as the Revs lost 1-0 to Toronto FC with another dismal performance. Hartford lost to San Antonio FC 3-1 at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford in front of a huge crowd. The Athletic went down early when Machop Chol opened the scoring in the 7th minute for San Antonio. A Marcus Epps equalizer in the 27th minute kept the score tied for the majority of the match. San Antonio received a gift wrapped own goal and a Solignac PK in the 85th minute sending the big crowd home unhappy.
