After an abysmal week of results the "New England Big 3" look to bounce back this weekend. The Revs were played off the pitch in NYC and lost 2-0 to NYCFC. New England travels north of the border to play Toronto FC Saturday.
For RIFC and Hartford both teams are looking to rebound after both teams were bounced out of US Open Cup, to lower league opponents. Tuesday RIFC traveled to North Carolina to face USL 1 side Charlotte Independence. The anchors dropped a thriller 4-4 (5-4) in pens to bomb out of the oldest soccer competition the USA.
Not to be outdone the Hartford Athletic lost to MLS Next Pro side NYCFC 2 on Wednesday 3-2. This game had plenty of fireworks on and off the pitch with golazos and red cards administered. Hartford hosts San Antonio on Saturday, while RIFC travels to Vegas to play the Las Vegas lights.
