Revs remain unbeaten at home.

The New England Revolution defeated Atlanta United 2-1 Saturday at Gillette stadium remaining unbeaten at home in the 2023 season. 2 goals within the first 10 minutes ended up being enough to see the Revs over the line. A banger from Matt Polster from outside the box and a Giacomo Vrioni goal set up nicely by Carles Gil were the difference. A concellation goal from Chol in the 90+3 minute is all ATL could muster. Part of that reason was Djordje Petrovic. Petrovic made several saves including a goal line clearance which was monumental in slowing down Atlanta who made a prideful push for a draw in the second half. Ian Harkes made his first start for the Revs since he joined the team last week. Harkes who came in on a free from Dundee United has been solid while Noel Buck is still out and Latif Blessing was out due to a red card. New England hosts DC on Saturday night. This will be the last game in MLS competition for over a month. Next week is MLS All Star week and in the next weekend Leagues Cup play begins with Revs again travelling to Red Bulls. Speaking of Latif Blessing....He was shipped to Toronto in exchange for Mark Anthony Kaye. Kaye an MLS journeyman will provide quality in the midfield and look to get Revs even closer to FC Cincy and perhaps make a run in Leagues Cup. Revs also made a significant move in bringing in ArgentineTomas Chancalay. Chancalay will come to the Revs on loan from Racing Club. Last year Chancalay played in Dubai and put up solid numbers. Chancalay will take the place for injured Dylan Borrero. If certain minutes markers are met Chancalay will be an obligation to buy for New England making him a designated player due to his contract and fees which is $3 million.
