The New England Revolution dropped their second straight game last night 2-1 to Inter Miami at DRV Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale. Goals by Ruiz and Martinez lifted the Pinks to a 4th consecutive positive result. New England's goal scorer was Carles Gil who made an impressive run with the ball weaving in and out of the Miami defense slotting it home with his right foot. The game was marred by questionable referee decisions. Noel Buck had an exquisite goal taken away after a chop and a move to elude a defender and was able to stroke the ball with his left around the Inter keeper. The goal was disallowed because Latif Blessing was in an offside position and blocking the keepers line of sight....Their were many other decisions in question. It was an absolute embarrassment of a night for Ismir Pikmic and PRO referees. Several Revs players had subpar nights including Blessing. Revs DP Giacomo Vrioni played around 30 minutes including stoppage time and didn't record a touch on the ball. Whether that was a tactical reason or other we will continue to observe these situations. Revs go to Philly next Saturday and need to bounce back before the 2023 season turns into the 2022 season.
