Revs lose 3 points after the ice cream ran out.........

toddtinkham

The New England Revolution's losing mentality showed it's ugly head once again as the Revs dropped points vs equally injured FC Dallas.

The Revs started brightly with numerous chances, including a post rattling shot from 16 year old debutant Peyton Miller. Miller who was one of the only bright spots in the night impressed in his first ever MLS start. Miller produced an assist to Bobby Wood (which now has been ruled as an own goal) and looked a threat every time on the ball going forward.

New England dominated the game and had all the chances. Dallas had 1 shot which Aljaz Ivacic calmly stopped. This until Henry Kessler shoved FC Dallas forward Tarik Scott, and a penalty kick was granted. Paul Arriola calmly stepped up and buried his PK in the top right hand corner to tie the score at 1-1.

New England continues to limp to the All Star and Leagues Cup break with a long injury list. One has to think that the Revs will bomb out of Leagues Cup and hope to get healthy for their next MLS match vs Montreal on August 24th.

New England is back in last place in the Eastern Conference and may be trending down in the minds and hearts of the local supporters. In the 60th minute an ice cream social was held in the draft kings lounge for some season ticket members. Not only did the ice cream melt to a liquid, they also ran out. Not sure if the remaining 30+ members received their ice cream or not........
