The New England Revolution and Chicago Fire drew 3-3 in a thriller Saturday night at Gillette Stadium. Chicago jumped out to a 2-0 lead within the first 25 minutes of the contest. The 2nd goal being an own goal for Andrew Farrell. New England fought hard towards the end of the half and were able to equalize with Bobby Wood and Noel Buck scoring 2 goals within 2 minutes of each other. The second half started a bit slow for both teams. However Haile Selassie scored in the 78th minute for the Fire to push Chicago out to a 3-2 lead. That is when maligned and heavily criticized Revs striker Jozy Altidore got on the score sheet for the first time in 2023 when he was able to bundle the ball over the line on a corner to tie the game at 3. This is how the game finished in front of a nice crowd of 27k at Forever Foxboro. This is New England's 4th game in a row where they have been unable to walk away the victors. The game saw Bruce Arena experiment with a back 3 of Romney, Farrell and Makoun. Not sure if conceding 3 goals to a less than impressive Chicago team is what he wanted to see. In more encouraging news, Carles Gil was used as a sub and logged 27ish minutes off the bench. New England travels to Atlanta for a midweek clash vs Atlanta United. New England needs to start seeing themselves accrue 3 points if they wan to remain in the Supporters Shield conversation.
Revs draw, winless in last 4...

Jozy missed the ball and still scored… Still trash in my book
