Braces from Emil Forsberg and Eric Choupo-Mouting carried the New York Red Bulls to a historic 7-0 win over 2024 MLS Cup champ LA Galaxy.
Choupo-Mouting kicked off the onslaught in the 7th minute, with Forsberg's opener following up 9 minutes later, putting the Galaxy in a predicament a quarter of an hour into the match.
When Choupo-Mouting doubled his tally and gave Red Bull the 3-0 lead the flood gates fully opened and New York was ruthless in the final third all match.

Forsberg's sumptuous free kick goal in the 50th minute was more or less the cherry on the sundae on the night, and LA's 2025 struggles seem to have hit New heights.
The Red Bulls are now 7th place in the Eastern Conference, while LA sits last in the west. NY travels to Nashville midweek in hopes that they can carry Saturdays cutting edge into Geodis Park........
