Western Mass didn't waste any time as they scored within 2 minutes of the kickoff and didn't stop there. The score at the half was 6-0, and could have been more.

Boston City was supposed to have a new and improved roster for 2025. Last season they finished with their best USL 2 season ever, but decided to part ways with Coach Frank Cypriano. Perhaps the loss of Cypriano hurt them more than they thought, as Cypriano has several connections with excellent players around the Bay State.
Western Mass will host USL 2 champs Seacoast United next Friday night at Lusitano Stadium. Boston City hosts Vermont Green Sunday night at Malden Catholic.
