NWSL Franchise granted to Boston and Santa Cruz FC in Final 4 this weekend

The NWSL has awarded Boston a team for future NWSL competition. Although unclear when the team will start their inaugural season it is reported that the team has invested at or near the $50 million dollar mark to bring a team back to New England. In other New England soccer news, Santa Cruz FC will compete in the Final 4 of the UPSL this weekend with games on Friday and Sunday.
