Norwalk, Connecticut native is the first signing of 2025 for the Hartford Athletic

Winning is nothing new for Norwalk, Connecticut native Jonathan Jimenez Vargas. As a member of NYCFC's academy since 2017 Jimenez Vargas won 2 Development Academy Championships in 2018 and 2019 for NYCFC.

As a member of NYCFC's MLS Next Pro side Jimenez Vargas continued his strong play with 23 goals over 3 seasons. This past season he was a key contributor for the pigeons improbable US Open Cup run, which included a 2 assist performance in a win vs Hartford.

The Athletic will be announcing multiple player signings over the next few weeks.
