Another busy footy Saturday has come and gone. We started in Mendon, at NEFC park. New England Force U23's took the field in the clubs inaugural matches.

The 3 o'clock kickoff pitted New England Force Teal vs NEFC Central Red. The Force came out flying with 4, 1st half goals. Gettysburg commit Noah Eggers, Joao Faria, Framingham State commit Graham Tinkham, and Curry College commit Aiden Grafton were the goal scorers. Below is Tinkham's goal assisted by Grafton.

One would have thought NEFC was done and dusted but the cool, calm play of former Revs academy product and Stonehill player Ethan Cain kept NEFC positive and NEFC nearly pulled off the shock comeback. At the conclusion of the 90, Force Teal were victorious 4-3.

Despite conceding 3 goals, defenders Jonny Osinski and Joe Looney were excellent at the back cleaning up after possession was lost.

In the 5 o'clock game New England Force Black U23 defeated NEFC Central Navy 3-2. A 90th minute winner from Cam Walty was the difference.

We then traveled to Gillette for the Revs vs FC Cincy. New England was unable to score, while a Kevin Denkey 1st half goal proved to be insurmountable for the Revs.

New England created several 1st half chances, but lacked cutting edge in the final third. Winger Luis Dias had a 1 v 1 with the keeper, but failed to get a shot off, (sounds wild I know).

The Revs need help in the attack. They have once again been snake bitten with injury. Leo Campana looks set to return soon, but we will see. Luca Langoni may be back as well, but Ignatius Ganago will be out a minimum of 6 games.

Down the road in Pawtucket RIFC got back in the win column with a thrilling 2-1 win vs NCFC. The win moved the amber and blue up to 7th in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship.

Albert Dikwa scored the opener for RIFC with a well placed header. The game hung in the balance until the 93rd minute, which is when RIFC player Frank Nodarse was the recipient of a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick. Maxi Rodriguez buried his spot kick for the winner. Below is Maxi's pen, courtesy of Raising Anchor.

It was RIFC's, 1st win at CBS@TL, with many more to come.

RIFC's rival Hartford lost at home to Charleston 1-0.................
