A Romario Williams penalty kick was enough to carry Hartford Athletic to the 1-0 win vs El Paso Locomotive last night. The Jamaican international took his penalty well with precision and patience.
This is exactly how new Athletic manager Brendan Burke hoped to begin 2024 after a tumultuous 2023 season. El Paso dominated the possession battle but Hartford defended well and held strong for the 90 minutes.
Hartford has a bye next week and will host Birmingham Legion March 23rd at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford.
