Hartford vs Revs in US Open Cup preview

For the first time in history the New England Revolution and the Hartford Athletic face off in a meaningful match. Tomorrow nights 3rd round US open Cup game takes place in Foxboro. The visitors travel up from Hartford to try and play spoiler. Hartford defeated Lansdowne Bhoys from Yonkers NY to get to this stage in the competition. This is New England's first match in the US Open Cup which sees all eligible teams that apply come together in the USA's version of the FA Cup. New England are 1 time winners of the competition and that was back in 2007. Many expect New England to play a changed side after playing Saturday night. Hartford did not play this past weekend and will be ready to go. Prince Saydee is a name to watch for Hartford. As well as midfielder Danny Barrera. It is unknown if striker Elvis Amoh will play. Amoh suffered a head injury a couple weeks ago. If New England takes Hartford lightly they will be in for a tough match. I am thoroughly intrigued and can't wait to see this local derby in it's inception. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
