Cremaschi and Buck....

The rise in stock for Inter Miami player Ben Cremaschi has been extraordinary. Cremaschi considered more of a project as of 2-3 months ago is now in consideration for a spot within the full USMNT. The rise in Cremaschi's stock certainly can be attributed to the additions of Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and of course new manager Tata Martino to the Inter Miami team.

Noel Buck of the New England Revolution was widely considered the top 18 year old prospect in MLS by many. Buck's ascendency has slowed a bit with a dip in form, and also the uncertainty with manager Bruce Arena. Buck was deployed as a right winger last game vs Montreal and wasn't up to the task as he is more a central midfield player who can break up play, trigger the attack and has a banger in his locker as well.

Cremaschi has 2 goals and 6 primary assists in MLS play, US Open Cup play, and Leagues Cup action. Buck has 2 goals and 1 primary assist in all comps this year. They are only separated by 1 month in age. Cremaschi has the option to represent USA or Argentina internationally. Buck has represented USA at the youth level, but there are rumblings that England wants Buck to represent the 3 Lions in the future.

Transfermarket has Buck valued at €1.8 million euros and Cremaschi at €3.5 million euros. Both players for me should be able to play abroad and do that successfully. For me Buck is more ready than Cremaschi. I would love to see what B.C. can do without Messi and the others surrounding him. Buck has shown that he is able to be effective without mercurial talents around him.

It's going to be an interesting conclusion to the season for both players. Cremaschi has shown he can perform in pressure packed situations converting on several clutch penalty shoot outs. He still has a US Open Cup final to prepare for vs Houston and an improbable playoff push for Miami. Buck appears to be a mainstay in the Revs XI. With New England's coaching situation up in the air Buck will need to continue to contribute at a high level for New England to remain in the home field places for the playoffs.
