Noel Buck is returning to his parent club the New England Revolution. Southampton has decided not to purchase Buck and the Arlington, Mass native will be returning home some time in January.
Although the details of how Buck played are a bit hazy, I can tell you he played in several matches within 3 different competitions. He played primarily as a deep lying playmaker in a 4-2-3-1 set up. Over the last few matches he was deployed as a Left Back. Below are the details of his appearances to date.
Buck has played in 6 Premier League 2 matches.
9/20 vs Norwich City U21's Buck played 61 minutes registering 1 shot.
9/27 vs West Brom U21's he played the full 90 minutes.
10/4 vs Nottingham Forest U21's Buck played the full 90 minutes.

12/10 vs Real Sociedad U21's Buck played the full 90 minutes registering 54 accurate passes from the Left Back position.
12/19 vs Sporting Lisbon U21's Buck played 45 minutes as a Left Back.
As you see, Buck got a ton of experience while on loan at Southampton. Upon returning to New England it appears he will be the 5th choice midfielder behind Carles Gil, Jackson Yueill, Matt Polster, and Alhassan Yusuf.
