Brockton FC United thrashed Villanovence 6-0 Saturday night to remain unbeaten through 6 UPSL games. Nilton de Andrade scored a brace to propel the boys from the City of Champions.

From the beginning of the game the outcome was a mere formality as Brockton was clearly the better team at all positions. With their quick pattern of play, mixing long balls in behind, Brockton was way too much for Villanovence.

The game took place at West Roxbury High School and had it's share of off field entertainment. The Stadium lights were supposed to be turned on at 7:45, but did not come on until 8:30 causing a 30 minute pause during the contest. When the lights did come on Brockton continued their pressure on Villanovence forcing turnovers and turning them into cutting edge finishes.

Former Revs 2 player Meny Silva looked impressive on the wing and up front for Brockton, with his quick flicks and flashy touches oooooing and ahhhing the fans in attendance.

Another bright spot for Brockton was the silky smooth play of center back Abdul Barrie. Barrie who has returned to the states from Athlone Town FC, an Irish pro team, was calm, collected and even contributed a header goal on the night.

18 year old Joey Veiga dispatched a penalty for his first Brockton FC goal, provided a spark when he came into the match as well.

For Brockton the train keeps rolling as they are dominating UPSL league play with a +25 goal differential through 6 games. A showdown with Hartford Athletic U19's await with both teams top the UPSL New England standings.
