Boston City prepping for USL 2 season

Last night Boston City FC manager Frank Cypriano joined Footy New England to talk Boston City's prep for the upcoming USL 2 season. Once again City will be playing at Brother Gilbert Stadium at Malden Catholic High School.

Last year was Boston City's first season in USL 2 and they are looking to improve in '24 as 2023 was a big adjustment. Cypriano mentioned that Boston City had over 50 players in training recently between both teams who are competing in 2 different comps. Boston City is also competing in the EPSL which is a league within NISA. The blue and red are 4-0 currently this spring in EPSL play.

Cypriano also talked about what Boston City has been building in Brazil with the squad in South America competing for championships in their respective leagues.

On the field Boston City is led by midfielder Felipe Cypriano. Cypriano a former college standout at Bryant and UMass Lowell is the the midfield maestro who also has a worldie free kick in his game.

Boston City opens up USL 2 play on Sunday at 7 vs Vermont Green at Malden Catholic. The season will run until mid July and the league is made up mainly college players home for the summer and other players with a wealth of playing experience.
