Boston Bolts ECNL Regional League 2006 Boys win Mid Atlantic/ Northeast division

The 2006 Boston Bolts ECNL Regional League 2006 boys team were victorious in New Jersey this past weekend, earning themselves a spot in next months ECNL Regional League Finals in Norco, California. With wins over FC Delco, SUSA Albertson and the final vs PDA the boys raised their first piece of silverware in the 2022/2023 season. The playoff format saw the top 4 teams from the north and the top 4 teams from the south battle it out in a playoff style format. The Bolts were the #3 team in the North which saw them play FC Delco the #2 team from the south. With a goal in the last 5 minutes the Bolts were victorious 2-1. Saturday's semi-final vs #1 North seed SUSA Albertson was a classic. Both teams created a half chance here and a half chance there. With penalties approaching a 93rd minute game winner saw the Bolts victorious 1-0. In the final on Sunday vs #1 south seed PDA the Bolts were the better team for most of the game. A goal in the first moments of the second half was enough to see the team through and crowned champs in the Mid Atlantic/ Northeast division. It's the second time in 3 years that this particular group will be competing for a National Championship.
