UNH players Nick Awada and Jiwoo Lee have made immediate contributions for Boston City FC. Awada had a goal and an assist and Lee provided 2 goals to help Boston City defeat Pathfinder 3-2 on Saturday night in Malden.
For Boston City ot was there first ever USL 2 win and has catapulted them to the middle of the USL 2 Northeast standings. Manager Frank Cypriano had big praise for the new duo and the rest of the squad and believes that City is primed to challenge everyone in the Northeast.
Not only did Boston City achieve their first USL win, they also took home the EPSL spring championship on Sunday defeating Flatley FC. They now take on Fall winner Sete Setembro for the right to represent the Northeast in the regional competition later this summer. Winner of that gets an US Open Cup slot for 2025.
The EPSL championship victory is the 1st trophy for Boston City FC since the clubs inception in 2015.
