If you don't know who Charlotte talisman Patrick Agyemang is, you are about to. The 6-4 Hartford native had a breakout season for MLS side Charlotte FC last year bagging 10 goals in the Queen City.

Before the bright lights of MLS Agyemang's rise to stardom came from humble grassroot beginnings.
Agyemang grew up playing locally in Hartford and was a very good high school player. Despite his size, power and athleticism he was not a highly sought after recruit. Patrick ended up at Eastern Connecticut State University.
While at EastConn Agyemang scored a staggering 30 goals in 2 seasons, helping him win several postseason awards as a Freshmen and Sophomore.

He then decided to leave EastConn to pursue a D1 opportunity at The University of Rhode Island. Agyemang was excellent for the Rams over 3 seasons. He scored 19 goals from 2020-2022 for the flagship Rhode Island University.
While at URI Agyemang played his summer ball with former PDL and current USL 2 powerhouse Western Mass Pioneers.
Agyemang took home several postseason honors while at URI and this caught the attention of several MLS teams. He was selected 12th overall in the 2023 MLS Superdraft.

In his first season Agyemang was loaned to Crown Legacy, the reserve team for Charlotte FC who play in MLS Next Pro. In 12 appearances for Crown Legacy Agyemang scored 10 goals, proving he was ready for MLS First team minutes.
Agyemang seems primed to prove his first season as a full time MLS'er is no fluke. Wherever Agyemang's career takes him, he is an inspiration to all D3 Ballers, and goes to show its not where you start.....it's where you finish!
