Augusta, Maine and Baghdad, Iraq are separated by 5,663 miles. They both became a lot closer as Augusta native and Cony High School standout Yousif Ibrahim has been selected to the Iraq U20 National team. Yousif recently talked about his journey and his long time dream coming true.
Yousif recently returned from a trial in Baghdad where he was selected for the squad. He plans on moving to Baghdad this summer to pursue professional opportunities.
